SAD UPDATE: All three members of beloved Texas rodeo family confirmed dead in Hill Country flooding

All three members of a beloved Texas rodeo family are now confirmed dead in the Hill Country flooding devastation, a relative confirmed.

The body of Shiloh Wilson, the son, was finally recovered, and while his family is devastated, they are relieved Shiloh and his parents will be laid to rest together - giving them a sense of closure.

“The Wilson3 are back together. Praise God for this miracle, as there are still a 150+ people still missing, we have all three,” wrote J.D. Ledford in a social media post.

“Thank you to all the first responders, and volunteers for everything you are doing. You’ll never know how much this means to us. God Bless You and Stay Safe.”

The father, Jeff Wilson, a beloved Humble ISD teacher and rodeo dad, was the first member of the family whose body was recovered after devastating flooding in the Hill Country. Days later, crews recovered the body of his wife, Amber.

Johnny Dudley, known as “Backflip Johnny,” shared a photo he took with Jeff and Shiloh at the time they were unaccounted for.

“Jeff has been my friend for over 25 years. We went to a bunch of the same rodeos back when he was riding. Now his 12 year old son Shiloh is riding and Jeff loves nothing more than to haul him to junior rodeos,” Dudley told KWTX.

“We know that they were in Kerrville for a rodeo and we know that they haven’t been heard from since the flood. The whole rodeo world is praying for them and all the others affected.”

This week in Texas, estimates put the number of people still missing from the Hill Country floods at more than 170, a daunting figure atop at least 120 deaths confirmed by authorities.
